Reger Oil

Decades of data.
A new generation of opportunity.

Reger Oil combines more than five decades of proprietary 2D geological intelligence with modern 3D exploration technology and deep experience in the Williston Basin to identify and advance oil and gas opportunities across North Dakota and Montana.

About

Intelligence
beneath the surface

Reger Oil is an energy company focused on identifying, evaluating, and advancing oil and gas opportunities within the Williston Basin.

The company's strategy is anchored by the Focus Library — an extensive, privately held collection of proprietary seismic data, subsurface mapping and prospect intelligence assembled and refined over more than five decades.

By combining this historical intelligence with contemporary geological, geophysical and commercial analysis, Reger Oil takes a disciplined, data-defined approach to opportunity identification.

The Focus Library

Decades of geological intelligence

The Focus Library provides Reger Oil with a differentiated foundation for identifying and evaluating potential opportunities throughout the Williston Basin. The Focus Library is one of the most complete privately held geological and geophysical databases ever assembled in the Williston Basin of Montana and North Dakota.

Resource

Original 2D seismic field tapes, subsurface mapping and regional prospect data.

Developed across generations of exploration activity, the Focus Library offers insight into subsurface structures and historically identified prospects that may not be apparent through commonly available datasets.

Reger Oil uses this intelligence to identify specific geological targets that will be further evaluated using contemporary 3D seismic exploration tools and commercial analysis.

Our Strategy

A data-defined
approach to exploration

Reger Oil begins with the data. Rather than broadly accumulating acreage and then searching for opportunity, the company uses its proprietary geological intelligence to identify specific subsurface structures and areas of interest.

Identify

Analyze proprietary seismic data, geological mapping, and historical prospect intelligence to identify prospective subsurface structures.

This process allows Reger Oil to focus its capital, expertise and resources on opportunities supported by meaningful geological intelligence.

The Williston Basin

Established
Production
Opportunity beyond the
Familiar

Spanning portions of North Dakota and Montana, the Williston Basin has supported oil and gas development for generations.

Although best known for the Bakken shale, the basin contains multiple conventional and unconventional formations with distinct geological characteristics. Reger Oil's proprietary historical data provides insight into structures and potential targets beyond the basin's most actively developed horizontal shale plays. By reassessing this intelligence using contemporary exploration tools, Reger Oil can evaluate select opportunities through a modern geological and commercial lens.
